Sarah LOVES peppermint Testimony

A sweet friend of mine, Sarah, has been taking this Oil & Wellness journey to heart and has been doing all she can to maintain wellness in her life by eating right, walking in confidence, using her oils daily and putting on her strong armor! While she has been loving this journey of wellness, there are so many things to learn and experience for continual growth on this journey!

Today I am sharing her POWERFUL story about her LOVE for Peppermint! Peppermint has SO MANY different uses, check out this page to read more about peppermint.

I have this thing called ocular migraines. Ocular Migraines are occasional headaches that can be cause by things like light sensitivity, stress, little sleep or sometimes my cycle.
On the days where I am effected, it can even cause vision loss in my eyes that lasts for an hour or so which then follows with a migraine. It is incredibly frustrating.
Today I could feel that my body was starting to show signs of one coming on. I quickly became super uncomfortable. I came home and did my normal routine of laying down in darkness BUT I thought I would also diffuse peppermint and a little lavender, to help me relax. I then put peppermint on my temples and on the back of my neck. Within MINUTES I was starting to feel so much better!
I love how peppermint made me feel!
This is a LIFE CHANGING thing I can do for my body during times of stress.
I am truly blessed with these oils. When you finally find something that brings peace to your body, it’s hard not to shout it from the rooftops!

Tea Tree

Tea Tree - Melaleucia alternifolia

Teach Tree is from the family Myrtaceae and is used so commonly to fight infections in Australia’s Aborigines for hundreds of years. Along along with fighting infections, tea tree oil is used to treat:

  • Face/skin spot support
  • Helps soothe irritants like Athlete's foot
  • Helps soothe skin, especially when used by people with impetigo, cold sores, eczema
  • Helps with itching caused by Poison ivy and insect bites
  • Cleaning
  • Deodorant - diminishes odor

I love putting Tea Tree in my shampoo and conditioner for the benefits on skin and hair, plus it smells heavenly. I also love using tea tree when there are lice outbreaks going around my area, it is a very powerful oil when dealing with lice.

Like lavender, Tea Tree oil works WONDERS when applied topically to skin. It helps reduce rashes, bites, ingrown hair, replenishes shine, dandruff, toenail problems, itching scalps, scars, and so much more! I love adding it to my daily lotion!

While using Tea Tree oil, NEVER use this oil on animals because it is very toxic to animals!

Lemon - Citrus Limon

Lemon oil is cold pressed from the the peel of the lemon and is a wonderful additive to water, drinks, and food. Because lemon oil is cold pressed from the peel, it is not acidic or contain pulp like its juice. Lemon is also one of the main ingredients in many cleaning supplies, as it is a powerful cleaning agent. Lemon can help stimulate feelings of happiness, relaxation, cleanliness and empower a stimulating feeling.

It take 75 lemons to make one 15 mL bottle of lemon essential oil. WOW. Lemon oil contains 68% d-limonene, which is a super powerful antioxidant. Currently, there are many studies going on for the effects of d-limonene because of how powerful its effect is. Check this clinical study out if you are interested in more education.

Sometimes I even like to put lemon oil in my hair while playing in the sun to enhance the natural highlights in my hair!

Remember to always drink lemon oil out of glass or stainless steel because this oil can eat at plastics petrochemicals, and you do not want to be accidentally drinking those! Lemon boosts your metabolism and enhances healthy digestion and gut motility. Simply adding a few drops of lemon to your water can encourage you to drink MORE water throughout the day and thus increase your hydration. Read more about hydration

If you are interested in owning your own lemon oil, make sure it is 100% pure, therapeutic grade A. You do not want to accidentally drink chemicals and other additives in your oil if it is not bought with the right intention. If you are ingesting oil, please make sure it is 100% pure. The FDA does not regulate essential oils, thus enabling companies to label something 'pure' when it is not in fact PURE.

Based on research and experience, Young Living Essential Oils are the oil company I use and distribute. I highly recommend this company, as every oil is naturally made and distilled into bottles with no additives. Visit here to learn more about Young Living Oils.
